Social Work and Counseling Department 2026 Alumni Reunion
The Alumni Reunion, organized annually by the Social Work and Counseling Department to maintain communication with its graduates, gather their feedback on the educational process, make curriculum adjustments, and improve the quality of education, was held on February 13, 2026, under the coordination of the Head of Department, Lecturer Dr. Bekir Altıok. The online event was attended by department faculty members and numerous alumni. During the meeting, which attracted significant interest from alumni, the strong contributions of the Social Work associate degree program to the job market were emphasized, and a comprehensive exchange of views took place on optimizing the curriculum to meet current needs.
As part of the event, alumni shared the sectoral problems they encountered in their post-graduation professional lives and offered solutions, providing insights that will guide current students on their career paths. The advantages of the theoretical and practical training provided in our department were highlighted, and the alumni's experiences in the employment process were recorded for curriculum development purposes. This meaningful gathering, where both faculty members and classmates came together to strengthen professional solidarity, concluded with wishes to meet again next year.
