Social Work Students Take Technical and Cultural Trip to Muş
First-year students from the Social Services and Counseling Department of Muş Alparslan University Bulanık Vocational School organized a technical trip to the Muş Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services to familiarize themselves with their professional practice areas. The visit, coordinated by Department Head Dr. Bekir Altıok and R&D Unit Coordinator İsmail Işık, provided students with the opportunity to learn about fieldwork from experts. During the visit, professionals provided information on the following topics:
İsmail Işık (R&D Unit Coordinator): Institutional structure and service network.
Sezer Çelik (Social Worker): Child protection law and protective measures.
Kübra Şahin (Child Development Specialist): Foster care and adoption process.
Mediha Çavuşoğlu (Psychologist): Activities of the Child Protection Center and combating violence.
Following the institutional visits, the students visited the historical Murat Bridge as part of a cultural trip. At the end of the event, which was both academically and socially productive, Dr. Bekir Altıok; He expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Directorate officials who opened their doors to the students, to the professionals who contributed with their presentations, and to the Bulanık District Governorship for providing transportation support.
