Social Work Department students organized a meaningful event within the scope of Domestic Products Week
The event aimed to refresh the awareness of domestic products that we gained in our childhood, and at the same time to deeply understand the meaning of this special week.
Dr. Feryat Alkan, who coordinated the event, conducted an activity and speeches with the students emphasizing the importance of consuming domestic products. The event touched upon important issues such as supporting domestic production, environmentally friendly consumption habits, and social solidarity.
The event, which was enlivened with old domestic product songs, games, and nostalgic anecdotes that carried traces of our childhood, reminded the participants of the Domestic Products Week celebrations of the past. Social Work Department students took a step towards raising awareness in society during this week by using domestic products throughout the event.
The event once again showed that consuming domestic products is not only an economic but also a cultural responsibility. On this meaningful day, the students also aimed to create awareness about their future social work.
