“Teaching Profession and Current Issues” Talk
We hosted Prof. Dr. Bünyamin SARİKAYA, one of our faculty members from the Faculty of Education, in the “Teaching Profession and Current Issues” talk coordinated by Lecturer Burcu KINIK CANDEMİR, one of the instructors from the Department of Child Care and Youth Services. In the talk, SARİKAYA touched on the characteristics that an individual should have regarding the teaching profession and provided information about current problems in the professional process. Global and local problems experienced in the teaching profession and solution suggestions for these problems were discussed in particular. In addition, SARİKAYA, who stated that the teaching profession requires sacrifice, also showed examples of good teachers to the students. He told the students about many examples of teachers who received awards in the global and local arena despite their great difficulties.
SARİKAYA, who also included encouraging memories from the teaching profession, concluded his words by congratulating our students wholeheartedly and stating that the way to be successful in life is to love your profession. The talk ended with a Q&A session. After the talk, the students said that they were very pleased with such events and thanked the college administration for providing them with this opportunity.
