Our Vocational School and TÜGVA Collaborated to Organize a Seminar on “Early Marriage and Career”
A seminar titled “Early Marriage and Career” was held at Bulanık Girls Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in collaboration with the Vocational School and the Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA). Social Services Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Neriman Morkoç and Attorney Hilvan Çapan participated in the seminar as speakers. The sociological and legal dimensions of early marriage were discussed at the event. While Dr. Morkoç emphasized the negative effects of early marriages on individual development, Attorney Çapan provided information on the legal consequences of such marriages and the legal rights of young people.
In the second part of the seminar, speakers made suggestions regarding young people’s career planning. The interactive session where questions from students were answered drew attention with the interest and contribution of the participants.
The seminar, which was stated by the participants to be quite productive, contributed to the awareness of young people and their development of awareness about their future.
