A seminar titled “Rational Use of Medicine for a Healthy Life” was held
Organized by Bulanık Vocational School Property Protection and Security Department Lecturer Turgut AKYOL and SYDV coordinator Züleyha YILMAZ, the seminar titled “Rational Use of Medicine for a Healthy Life” was held at Bulanık SYDV Family Support Center 1.
The speakers were Specialist Dr. Mehmet AY from Bulanık State Hospital and Pharmacist Mesut YETİŞKİN, owner of the Adult Pharmacy. The seminar aimed to raise awareness among citizens about using medicines correctly, safely and as required in order to increase conscious use of medicines in society. Information was provided that incorrect use of medicines does not cure diseases and can also lead to serious health problems. It was stated that behaviors such as unnecessary use of medicines, consumption of medicines without a prescription and changing medicines without a doctor’s recommendation have negative effects on both individual and social health. The seminar also invited citizens to act consciously in using medicines, saying, “Using medicines in the right dose, at the right time and in the right way is one of the cornerstones of a healthy life.”
The seminar concluded by emphasizing how medicines should be stored and answering participants’ questions.
