Early Diagnosis and Prevention of HIV: Education and Awareness Seminar

A seminar was held on March 19, 2025 at the Muş Alparslan University Bulanık Vocational School seminar
hall to raise awareness about early diagnosis and prevention methods of HIV. The event, coordinated by Dr. Lecturer Feryat Alkan,
was given by infectious disease specialist Dr. Sonay Arslan.
A comprehensive presentation was made at the seminar about the importance of early diagnosis of HIV, treatment methods and transmission routes. Dr. Arslan emphasized that raising public awareness in the fight against HIV plays a critical role in preventing the spread of the disease and increasing the effectiveness of the treatment process.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about personal and social measures that should be taken to prevent HIV. The training seminar also provided detailed information about the importance of having an HIV test and what to do according to the test results. It was stated that these types of seminars are an important step in raising awareness of HIV in society as well as helping individuals living with HIV live healthier lives.
At the end of the seminar, various resources were presented to the participants to learn more about HIV. The event ended with Dr. Lecturer Feryat Alkan presenting a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Sonay Arslan.
