Seminar titled “Disabled Individuals” was held
The “Disabled Individuals” seminar organized under the coordination of Instructor Burcu KINIK CANDEMİR of the Child Development Program of the Child Care and Youth Services Department of Bulanık Vocational School was held. The seminar presented by Miroğlu TAN and Seher KOÇYİĞİT, 2nd year students of the Child Development Department, addressed the difficulties faced by disabled individuals, their educational processes, their experiences in social life and various topics that will raise awareness about disability. The students emphasized the need for supportive approaches and increasing social sensitivity towards disabled individuals with their presentations.
As part of the program, academicians who are experts in the field of special education also shared their knowledge and experiences and informed the participants about the correct attitudes and approaches towards disabled individuals. At the end of the seminar, the students gave important messages about what needs to be done individually and socially in order to make the lives of disabled individuals easier. The Child Development students stated that such activities are of great importance in terms of raising awareness and that similar awareness activities will continue at Bulanık Vocational School for disabled individuals, and the seminar concluded.
