Our "Green Future Through Play" Project Selected for Support Under ÜNİDES COP31
The project titled "Green Future Through Play: Environmental and Climate Awareness Workshops for Children"—prepared by the Child, Play, and Development Society operating under Muş Alparslan University’s Bulanık Vocational School—has been selected for support under the "Environment and Climate" Special Call of the University Student Societies Cooperation and Support Program (ÜNİDES), administered by the Ministry of Youth and Sports' General Directorate of Youth Services.
While a total of 855 project applications from 79 provinces were submitted for this special call—conducted in connection with the COP31 Türkiye process—304 projects from 76 provinces were selected for support following the Evaluation Committee's review. The supported projects aim to strengthen youth-led initiatives in areas such as environmental protection, combating climate change, zero waste and recycling, sustainable living, and environmental awareness.
The "Green Future Through Play" project aims to foster environmental and climate awareness among children through play-based and hands-on activities. Topics such as recycling, the conservation of natural resources, sustainable living, environmental consciousness, and climate change will be addressed through workshops and games tailored to the children's developmental stages. In this way, the project seeks to support early environmental awareness in children while simultaneously enhancing the university students' experiences in volunteering and social responsibility.
The project is led by Society Advisor Cennet Takdemir and Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. It will be conducted under the guidance of İsmail Dönmez and with the active participation of students from the Child, Play, and Development Society. The projects within the scope of ÜNİDES are scheduled to be implemented between October 14 and November 30, 2026.
